Ode to a Fairchild

The past weekend we were able to see our good friends Mike and Jill. They moved to PA last year and we still are bitter about it. However, seeing them again remind us why we like them so gosh darn much. It felt like the good old days with them here. So, below I have put a slide show together of things that remind us of them. Many of the pictures are inside jokes and not so funny if you don't know the joke. (Thus, being called an inside joke. Clever isn't it?) To Mike and Jill, we miss you and yes we need to and will go on another trip! Grab some popcorn and get ready to cry from laughter. To the rest of you reading this, just skip the pictures and go directly to the next post.

Fess up

I have come to the conclusion that we all (whether you want to admit it or not) are addicted to the "reality" craze. Some of you already know where I am going with this as you feel that guilty pang inside and the rest will know what that feels like after you finish reading this post.
Yes, I am talking about blurking. (dun, dun, dun...) Over the last couple of weeks while redoing our blog, many of you have asked me where are you links? I need to know what's going on with so and so. I was not aware of how common it is to follow a friends link to their friends link, to their friends and so on. And suddenly, there one is reading a stranger's post about this family's upcoming vacation plans. Of course, you have to check back in a week when they return so you can see the pictures of their trip! There's the pictures of the strangers smiling while eating ice cream, in their bathing suits at the beach, and the family photo - kids crying, weary from the day's activities and the parents trying to wrangle them while smiling. Does anyone else not see the weirdness in this? Yet, it is so addicting!?
I will be the first to admit it. My name is Danica and I am a blurker.

Happy St. Paddy's Day!

An Old Irish Blessing

May love and laughter light your days,
and warm your heart and home.
May good and faithful friends be yours,
wherever you may roam.
May peace and plenty bless your world
with joy that long endures.
May all life's passing seasons
bring the best to you and yours!

Your opinion counts...

So, as you can see I have been playing with our blog trying to come up with a new layout. I would love to hear feedback on the color choices and/or ideas. Being a girl, I am indecisive and need the help of you other bloggers. But please, be gentle. :)
